It is a 2008 Dodge Charger And it has 17,008 miles on it.Also, if it makes a difference, it is in Michigan. I looked it up on Kelley Blue Book but they do not have the values for a used 2008 Charger….Any help please???
A: Well, you didn’t put any details on the car. It all depends on what the owner first paid for it. It could be anywhere from 19,000-25,000, depending on the model and if any customs were put on it. The owner should not charge you as much as he paid, because when you buy a car, once you drive it off the lot it already loses a couple thousand. Go around and ask some dealerships too!

A: I would go for the 08 as my son has one and has had good luck with it, also 06 was the new chargers first year of production and every year after that first year things are improved on the car as the first model can have things that didn’t work out too good and are fixed in later year models.

I’m a teenager looking to get my first car. The Dodge Charger has caught my eye but I don’t have $25k+ to drop on my first car and am looking to grab a used one. Right now I’m looking at ‘07-’08 SEs and SXTs. I’ve done my research on them and read the reviews but thats all been for the car if it’s new. My question is if the Dodge Charger is still reliable with 30k, 40k, or even 60k miles on it in three years or less. Some people say that you’ll be in and out of the chop shop a lot but others say the 3.5L V6 can take it. Just looking for a little wisdom please. I don’t want to spend $12k-15k on the car and be in and out of the chop shop all the time.
So the general consensus is with regular maintenance, the car is good for awhile, even with a sizable mileage. I appreciate the help. However, as far as safety is concerned, the SXT (which is what I’m planning on getting) comes with ABS and ESP. I understand what ABS is for but ESP? Also, as far as insurance is concerned, is it really that high? It was my understanding for sedans for male 16-17 year-olds, it’s usually about $200 a month.

Places like J.D. Power are a crock iof well you know. And the jerks who down mopars ether can’t afford one or have been out run by one. And SXT is a great first car for you.
Almost Forget I own an 07 Charger R/T never had any problem with it.

My parents are buying me a used car for my 16th birthday.
The price range is $14,000, but the lower the better. Anything close to 10 is perfect.

I want a Dodge Charger soooo bad. And i have found several within the criteria. But my parents are hesitant to buy it for me, yet they do not give a reason except “We don’t like Dodge very much” or that “The Charger isn’t meant for a 16 year old.”

AND for the record, I won’t be driving anyone. My parents are sticklers about that rule. And we would get the safest engine. ALSO, i have learned to drive with my dad’s 2009 Lexus ES350, which has around 250-270 hp, so I have felt some power.
And i dont need anyone telling me “a first car should be 1000 dollars!” or anything like that. That’s my parents decision.

I saw the car pacing the Nationwide series race, but was hoping to find good pictures of it. It looks like a Police Car. I’ve searched several different places including Dodge’s website, Jayski’s and the LVMS web site.
