Q: Ford F150 Raptor Rental in the San Diego area?
Im looking to rent a Ford F150 Raptor for my husband as part of his anniversary gift this year but am having trouble finding any rental car places that have them. Does anyone have any suggestions?
A: That’s really sweet of you that you are giving surprise you husband but yo need to search for it a lot as there aren’t many companies that offer such kind of lavish cars. You need to find such companies that offers cars on weddings as they have all lavish and royal cars.
Q: where can you find a raptor style grill for an 04 f150?
Where can you buy a grill like they have on the f150 raptor, that can be installed onto a 2004 ford f150 not heritage
A: I think you are out of luck on this one. Making a Raptor-style grille would require investment in a completely new plastic molding tool, and most aftermarket companies do not have the funding or qualification to do this work.
Q: is it possible to import a Ford F150 Raptor to the UK?
If so where, with quote?
A: Absolutely.
If you can afford the shipping fees, V.A.T., import duty, brokerage charges, I.V.A. test and insurance, go ahead and get one.
OK – here’s a rough guide (dollar price converted to £ Sterling):
Basic model F-150 Raptor – £25,500.
Shipping – £1,500.
Import duty, V.A.T. and brokerage charges – £8,100.
I.V.A. test £750, minimum.
Total cost to you – at least £35,850 just for the basic model.
Insurance will hit you for over £500 a year, assuming you are aged 45+, with a clear driving record and maximum no claims bonus.
If you are under the age of 35, insurance will be about ten times that amount.
If you are under 25, you won’t get insurance for it.
Or, to put it another way, you can’t afford one…
Q: Will the 2010 Raptor running boards fit on the 2009 F150, both are supercabs?
The off road running boards on the 2010 Raptor are available for $1100, will they fit on my 2009 F150?
Isn’t the 2009 F150 and 2010 Raptor the same exact cab?
A: the front tabs will fit but, need to drill holes for the rear tabs. really close but not close enough.
Q: how much is a new f150 ford raptor?
I’m looking for the car above and would also appreciate a website saying the price.
A: Visit your local Ford dealer
Q: What will the Ford F150 Raptor be like on the highway?
A: I imagine it wouldn’t be that pleasant since the Raptor is as close to a factory baja truck that’s ever been produced. Why would you consider purchasing such vehicle if you weren’t going to take it off-road frequently? Don’t be a poseur.
Q: f150 raptor grill on 2004 f150?
Can you fit an f150 raptor grill on a 2004 ford f150 lariat, or can you buy a grill that style for an f150, if so where can i buy.
A: No, the body style changed in 2009, a Raptor grille will not fit.
Q: Ford F150 Raptor Question,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,?
The parts that make the ford raptor different from the f150: suspension, taillights, wheels, tires etc.
What i want to know is where to get the extended fenders to make the truck wider so I can put wider tires on. basically i want to know where to find the parts to make the regular ford f150 2010 model just like the raptor. give me a link if you can… Thank you very much.
A: Well, you’ll need 35 inch tires BFG’s I think. Figure about $800 for a set
You’ll need the SVT wheels. Figure about $2000 for those
You’ll need remote reservoir shocks. Around $1000 there + install
You’ll need the E-locker. About $500 maybe a little more
You’ll need 4.10 gears front and back, that will run about $1200 installed
You’ll need the SVT springs and suspension/steering bits, call that around $1000 give or take
You’ll need the huge Raptor skid plates. $600 or so
You’ll need the Raptor grille , $400
You’ll need the fender flairs, about $400
And of course the Raptor-specific paint at around $2000 for decent paint job.
You’re looking at around $9900 give or take. Add another $5000 if you want the new 6.2L Boss V8.
Seeing how Raptors can be had for around $38k and a run of the mill 4WD F-150 XLT runs about $33.5k, it makes a hell of alot more sense just to buy the Raptor from the start.
Q: Is the new 2011 ford f150 raptor svt supercrew a safe pickup for highspeed crashes?
I was recently in a high speed collision on a rural highway and I was driving a truck and another truck was in our lane when I drove around the corner and we collided. Now I have a 12 in titanium rod in my left tibia bone and a big t shaped plate in my right wrist, and I was wondering if the new raptor is a safe truck for high speed crashes. I live in north dakota and there’s so much traffic where I live because of all of the oil field workers that’s why I want to get another truck because of the safety. I was driving a ford f150 2002 when I got hit. Is the new 2011 raptor safer than just a regular 2011 ford f15p or are they the same?
A: Its essentially the same, but its really a case by case thing with the individual crash. My friend flipped an old 5.0 mustang which are notoriously weak with me in it, and we were fine. I was unscathed. Then Ive seen people die from fairly minor things in newer, safer cars.
All modern cars/trucks are pretty safe. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes not. You buy the Raptor for performance, not crash surviveability
Q: Is a Ford – F150 Raptor really worth its price?
with a 6.3L V8 instead of the standard model
A: If you have the money, do it, the thing is a beast by itself but with that upgrade its now the hulk, and I really don’t even like Ford and can see that this truck is amazing.
Q: Ford F150 Raptor Purchasing Question?
I am just wondering the baseline price for this gem. I’ve been to many sites and they want all of this information, while I’m only looking to see the average cost of one. Is it more than $25,000, etc.
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net
Q: Should I get the 2011 Mustang GT or 2010 F150 Raptor?
A: Get a Vette.
Q: Ford F150 Raptor, thoughts?
What’s your opinion on the new Raptor crew cab? I have the money and I’m looking into buying one. It looks great, drives great, however it has pretty bad mileage. Any other small trucks that can compare to the raptor would be good to know as well.
A: The only semi-direct competitor is the Dodge Power Wagon. Dodge took a different approach, they use 1 ton straight axles and 3/4-1 ton running gear, with e-lockers front and rear. It’s a pretty robust setup actually. It has the 5.7L Hemi which isn’t quite a potent as Ford’s new Boss 6.2L but it’s not lacking for power. The fuel mileage is actually a bit worse than the Raptors. But if you are worried about fuel mileage neither truck is for you. Between the two, I think the Raptor is a more interesting vehicle and it’s the one I would go with.
Q: is the f150 raptor a good truck?
i know all the specs blah blah blah, but there’s always a catch to something because obviously ford wont talk about it, if you own one or know anything about this truck let me know because i don’t want to buy it if its not as good as it looks
A: The regular F150 is pretty reliable, and there’s nothing terribly complicated on the Raptor. The only really “new” thing about it is the new optional 6.2L Boss V8. It’s new this year. I haven’t heard of any problems that are specific to the raptor. The raptor specific stuff, like the e-locker, and remote reservoir shocks have been in the aftermarket for years, it’s nothing to be concerned over.
Q: Do you think the F150 SVT Raptor will stay.?
Will Ford make this model of the f150 stay for awhile. Or will it come and go. In your opinion.
A: It won’t stay. None of the SVT models stick around for a long time. It’s not a matter of profits and losses. They’re about building the brand of SVT. If they make it for the next 10 years, you’ll think that you have plenty of time to get one so you won’t make it a priority. It’s true. If it’s for a limited time though, your desire for it will go through the roof.
